Just how much snow does it take to call off school? Apparently, not that much. Although the weatherman made some pretty big predictions and part of the state actually did get their fair share of the white stuff, we were on the short end of the stick. Again. We managed to make the best of it though.
Meet Frosty Quaker Grace Martens.
What the heck is the deal with the name, you ask? Well, Frosty, for obvious reasons.....and it made sense to Clint. Quaker, because of the mini popcorn cakes we used for his eyes. (I wouldn't say that I was totally unprepared to be snowed in - I just didn't give much thought to the possibility that we might just maybe get enough snow to play in, and that we probably would then build a snowman, and we would surely need something in the pantry of eyeball size.) Grace, because that is the token middle name around here - it would've been Hunter's middle name had he been a girl; ditto for Clint; it actually IS Maggie's middle name.....and it made sense to Clint.
We know he's not much to look at, but we love him just the same.
Once we were finished with Frosty, there was just enough snow left to have a little ol' snowball fight.
All in all, I would say we had a pretty good snow day. Wouldn't you?

ok, you were right - that is pitiful looking snow. So glad you made the best of it, though!
Snow...what snow? Remember when you were here in Nebraska for a visit a few years ago...that was snow! The important thing is that you all had fun!!
